Engaging Fans

February 9, 2010

How are musicians going to engaging fans when most are satanist that only care about themselves, lol. Just kidding. All that talk of engaging is dreamed up by a few bloggers trying to in abstract ways to cash in on music/musicians. Don’t believe the hype.

…and watch for the hand of the people pushing it, asking for money.

iamamiwhoami

January 27, 2010

Doing my best to cause confusion online, lol.

It’s 2010 let the majors fall already.

The recording artists 10 years from now will have it better than the artists today. The trailblazing will be done by the unsigned artists struggling today. If iamamiwhoami is a major… yawn.

Music Plugins

December 11, 2009

There are a lot of music plugins online. I really don’t need to buy any, lol. Just kidding. There are some i see for sale that i think i might buy sometime. …maybe, lol. When everyone gives something away for free where does that lead? The free to get people to your site only works when others aren’t doing it too.

I love all the free EQ plugins.

It’s the end of 2009.
Was it a good music year?
I think 2010 will be an electronic music boom.

New Twitter ReTweet Link

November 11, 2009

Twitter now has a retweet link you can click to retweet tweets. This will make tweets going viral on Twitter much easier. Could be good news for bands when it comes to “#musicmonday”.

New website of loops at technomusic.me

Audio Remix

August 12, 2009

Starting a new audio samples remix music production website. (maybe). I’m coding it to see what it would look like. It’s not that i want to do it but i feel it’s something i have to do, lol. If it fails i’ll just scrap it and fall back to the old website.

The thing to remember is running an audio samples website costs more because of all the downloading. It’s not just blog text. This is why most people don’t get into it.

Reading Music Blogs

July 18, 2009

Reading music blogs is like reading gossip blogs. Seems like only some are original with original stories. Most others re-spit whats on the original blogs. Some of the so called big music blogs seem to be posting nothing more than press release quality blog posts. Kind of makes them boring to read.

I’ve been searching online for new music blogs i don’t read and bookmarking them. Some appear to be big and i’ve never heard of them before. Must look every 6 months for new ones from now on i guess.

Soundcloud

July 7, 2009

Soundcloud is an online audio file host. You can upload audio and then post the players online. I see more and more soundcloud players in blogs and on music forums. Seems good enough. I’d go squat on the username you want before someone else takes it.

Happy Summer :)

Drums

June 30, 2009

I’m preparing to sell a sample pack of music samples online. I wonder if it’s better to sell from my artist website of from a website just for selling sample downloads.

I think from a just for selling music sample downloads type of site but i might do the opposite. Fu*k it.

P.s. Making distorted drum samples is fun. There is no pressure to make them bump or bang. Just be noisy as can be, lol.

After a while the drum samples make you bat sh*t crazy.

Thief

June 8, 2009

Seems like the up and coming producers are almost all thieves. At least that’s the impression i get from reading music production forums. I don’t know if it’s from laziness because the internet makes it easy and computers are built to steal now or what. Maybe they are just poor kids. One thing i think is funny is that they have no problem stealing a sound designer’s samples but when they get a beat jacked by an up and coming rapper they throw a bitch fit, lol.

Recording Sleepy

May 28, 2009

Whenever i record sleepy or blog sleepy It always ends up as junk, lol. Tons of miss ques and spelling mistakes. Kind of like now, lol. Resting up is good. Using your bright and awake hours are vital. IMO.
